Happy Thanksgiving!

Last Thursday was Mason’s first doctor appointment with Dr. Lixie.  He’s gaining weight as he needs to- up to 8 pounds, 11 ounces, and is already 22 inches long!  His first appointment went great- he hardly cried at all!  He was very intrigued by the new surroundings and the different lights in there.

Last night, Josh, Blake, Mason, and I had a bit of running to do in Grand Rapids, then we decided to take a stroll through the mall for a bit of walking exercise after eating at Old Chicago Pizza (YUMMM!).  It was Mason’s first time in the stroller and in the mall, and he seemed to enjoy the constant movement.  As usual, he was such a good boy in his seat and big brother Blake was a great driver!  Oh, before I forget too, Josh and Mason had their first successful trip to the restaurant bathroom adventure :)

He is just over two weeks old now and he’s already changing so much.  Every day it seems he makes different sounds and facial expressions and we’re seeing his eyebrows and eyelashes coming in a bit more.  He’s also starting to produce real tears when he cries… those icky poopy diapers!  It’s very easy for Josh and I to sit and just stare at him- he’s so handsome for sure! 

This Thanksgiving and every day, we’re so blessed for so much.  Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
